What happens during treatment
The client lies on their back, fully clothed, on a
treatment couch. The practitioner begins
by holding their hands over the client’s eyes for several minutes and then onto
various other positions on the head, and gradually down the length of the
body. This takes about an hour during
which time the client drifts into a deep state of relaxation.
Reiki can feel different for everyone. During a treatment some people feel tingling
sensations like pins and needs, sometimes intense heat, others may see images
or colours, but the most common response is one of peace and deep relaxation.
